How we are paid
We prefer to work on the basis of a combination of a hourly fee for specific advice and periodic fees for ongoing advice, such as keeping you up to date with your affairs and for keeping you posted on issues which may affect your financial arrangements, such as legislative changes.
Our fees can be settled by cheque in the normal way with any commissions arising being reinvested back into the contract to enhance the benefits or commissions can be used to offset against the invoice. The choice is yours.
We will make no charge for a first meeting of up to one hour and will always endeavour to quote an accurate cost at the outset for the task in hand.
Our view is that by working on a fee basis akin to that of a solicitor or an accountant, we remove any lingering view that a client may have that our advice may be tainted by the payment of commission. This has never clouded the advice that we have given but by adopting this approach, this serves to reinforce our independence.
We do not advertise, our continued success relies on referrals from our professional connections in the accountancy and solicitor world as well as from our clients. This has served us well in the past and hopefully will do so in the future.
We hope that our website will give you a broad insight into our areas of specialisation and that you will take the trouble to contact us for further information.
